You can typically buy a water purifier from a local department store for less than $35.00. These systems will reduce or eliminate the additives and impurities from the water. The best system is usually a reverse osmosis (RO) system because they remove everything but the pure water. They are more expensive and harder to install and maintain than pitcher filters though. Stay away from artificial alkaline water. This can cause medical issues such as urinary tract infections, abdominal pain, and hypertension. Lastly, try to avoid dehydration by understanding your body’s cries for water. Hunger is commonly mistaken by your brain for thirst. Try drinking water instead of snacking often. Not only will this keep you hydrated and healthy but it may also help with your weight loss goals.
