39 Outstanding Uses of Fennel Seed Essential Oil

Fennel seed essential oil is steam distilled from the seeds of the fennel plant (Foeniculum vulgare). Sweet fennel seed oil is distilled form the seeds of F. vulgare var. dulce. Bitter fennel seed oil is made from F. vulgare subsp. piperitum. Both types of fennel seed essential oil have about the same chemical contituents; however, bitter fennel is much lower in ether.
