Water alone is good, but there are things you can add to your water to give your body a boost and help flush unwanted toxins - and they taste amazing!

Here are 20 delicious recipes for detox waters that contain ingredients such as cucumbers, which have anti-inflammatory properties; mint and ginger, which aid digestion (ginger also has pain relieving properties); lemon, which flushes toxins; and cayenne, which ramps up metabolism and gives you energy. Some of the recipes also include yummy ingredients such as melons and raspberries, which have anti-inflammatory properties and are a good source of Vitamin C and antioxidants.

1. Detox Water Master Cleanse

This master cleanse is designed to flush just about every toxin from your body. You have the option to add ingredients like green tea, fiber, or laxatives, but the following ingredients are great at ridding the body of toxins and free radicals in and of themselves.

  • 12 ounces of filtered water
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice
  • 2 tablespoons organic maple syrup
  • 1/10 teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • Dash of sea salt

This detox water recipe is great for busting bloat, cleansing the kidneys, improving skin condition and aiding in digestion. Just add all of the ingredients in a pitcher and refrigerate for a couple of hours before serving over ice. Discard after 24 hours, as the citrus fruit tends to get mushy.

Pineapple helps rid the body of free radicals and the sugar cane adds a hint of sweetness to balance the pineapple’s acidity. You’ll feel like you’re at an island spa! Just mix in a pitcher, add ice, and chill for a couple of hours in the refrigerator. It tastes better if you leave it for a while.

  • 1-2 liters filtered/purified water

  • 60 ounces purified water
  • 2 tablespoons diet cranberry juice

  • Spring or filtered water
