We all want beautiful and younger looking skin forever. We know, however, that many times our skin starts to lose its radiance with age. In addition, rapid weight gain and weight loss are another cause of stretch marks.

There are plenty of ways to treat stretch marks. A lot of stretch mark therapies are available in the market that claim to heal and reduce the appearance of stretch marks; however, these products come along with side effects, and treating these side effects is a different story. In this article, we will discuss some of the best and most effective natural, organic remedies that help in keeping stretch marks at bay without causing any side effects.

1. Aloe Vera

Collagen is the most important proteins that helps our skin to remain supple and beautiful. Additionally, it is also beneficial in reducing wrinkles, fine lines, and improving skin elasticity. Aloe vera contains plant collagen, which provides enormous help in repairing the skin.

Take an aloe vera leaf, remove the outer layer of the leaf and draw out the sticky gel from the inside of the leaf. Apply a high-quality aloe vera gel on stretch marks and rinse the area after two hours.

2. Castor Oil

For decades, castor oil has helped many individuals to treat various skin problems such as age spots, wrinkles, dark spots, and fine lines. Furthermore, the oil is also widely used for reducing the appearance of stretch marks. Take some high-quality castor oil and apply it on the stretch marks.

Gently massage the affected area in an upward, circular motion for at least 7 minutes. Then, with the help of clean cloth, wrap the area. Now use a heating pad and apply gentle heat to the affected area for 30 minutes every day. Ensure that you repeat this process daily for at least 30 days to see noticeable results.

3. Alfalfa

For those who wish to lose weight already know the benefits of alfalfa sprouts. But, alfalfa sprouts are also effective in treating stretch marks. The sprouts are rich in Vitamin K, E, and amino acids. Vitamin K aids in regulating the process of blood clotting, and Vitamin E helps in neutralizing the oxidant effect of free radicals that actually damage collagen. And, amino acids help in nourishing the skin.

Take 1 teaspoon of alfalfa powder and mix it with 4 drops of chamomile oil. Apply the paste to the stretch marks, and leave the application for 15 minutes. Rinse the area with clean water.

4. Olive oil

It’s no surprise to see olive oil in this list. Since olive oil contains plenty of nutrients and antioxidants, it helps in providing relief to various skin problems including stretch marks.
The antioxidants play a role of cleanser, moisturizer, and protector of the skin. These antioxidants are Vitamin E, which helps in neutralizing the oxidant effect of free radicals that damage collagen. Plus, the Vitamin A thickens the dermis and increase blood flow to the surface of the skin.

Take warm extra virgin olive oil and apply it onto the affected area to improve blood circulation and reduce the overall appearance of stretch marks. Allow the oil to rest on the stretch marks for about 30 minutes and thereafter wash off with water.

5. Sugar

Finally, there is sugar to help you out get rid of stretch marks. Sugar can be easily found in households and is one of the best home-based remedies to treat stretch marks. Experts believe that raw sugar works as a natural exfoliant for the skin, thereby helping to reduce the look of stretch marks. Sugar is a natural source of glycolic acid, an alpha hydroxic acid that boosts the goodness of the skin and keeps the skin younger and fresher looking.

Take 1 teaspoon of raw sugar, a few drops of almond oil, and a few drops of lemon juice. Mix all the three ingredients and apply the mixture to the stretch marks. Rub the mixture for at least 10 minutes before rinsing off with water. Use this remedy for a month to see effective results.

Love my dermalmd stretch mark serum, I use it to help get rid of stretch marks that I thought were here to stay and scars. I’ve only been using it a month or so and I can already see them fading. Definitely worth trying if you have stubborn stretch marks/scars!
