Choosing the Best Magnesium L-Threonate Supplement

If your anything like me, then you probably experience the occasional bad night’s sleep. Nights where no matter what you do, you can’t seem to relax, and have random thoughts racing across your mind.

During this time falling asleep can seem like a monumental task.

And then when you finally do manage to fall asleep, it is restless, shallow, and ultimately of a poor quality – leaving you feeling just as tired as you did the night before.

Unfortunately, in modern day this is becoming increasingly common.

With constant exposure to bright lights, loud noises, and electronic screens, our ability to both fall asleep, and stay in a state of deep sleep, has become seriously compromised – often leading to increased weight gain and declines in health as a direct result.

Which is why we are always on the look out for new health supplements that can help settle your mind and get you falling asleep faster – and if they happen to have additional benefits, then we are all for that too!

Supplements like Magnesium L-Threonate, for example.

What is Magnesium L-Threonate?

When it comes to improving health, magnesium itself is one of the most important minerals in the body. It is essential to maintain the health of all your cells, where it plays several roles ensuring the success of their many physiological functions.

Within this, magnesium is required to produce energy throughout every single one of those cells, where it also used to make both DNA and our RNA, and to build and repair enzymes, proteins, and tissue.

Interestingly, there is also some recent evidence to suggest that it can also impact your brain.

You see, magnesium is used to help maintain the health of brain cells and aid in the production of neurotransmitters. As a result, it has been deemed integral to the regulation of normal brain function, while also ensuring that the brain remains plastic – which is essentially its physical quality that allows you to learn, adapt, and evolve.

Unfortunately, even despite its apparent importance in this area, many magnesium supplements don’t actually make it to the brain because the cannot cross the blood brain barrier.

But magnesium L-Threonate rectifies this.

Magnesium L-Threonate is a patented supplement version of magnesium that has been shown to be one of the most bioavailable forms of magnesium on the planet. With this, it has also been shown to be the most effective when it comes to permeating and entering the brain.

Which makes it one incredible option!

What are the Benefits of Magnesium L-Threonate?

Considering that Magnesium L-Threonate exhibits all the potent effects of magnesium, but delivers it straight o the brain, it should quickly become apparent as to why this supplement is such a great option.

Considering this, we wanted to take an objective look at the research to determine where magnesium L-Threonate offers the most benefit.

Is Magnesium L-Threonate Good for Sleep?

By improving the health of the neural tissue and restoring normal neurotransmitter function, magnesium has been shown to have a direct impact both the regulation of the body’s natural circadian rhythm, while also reducing feelings of unwanted or unnecessary stress (thus enhancing sensations of relaxation).

Through this, the supplementation of Magnesium L-Threonate offers a highly effective option to improve sleep in every capacity [1].

Does Magnesium L-Threonate Enhance Cognitive Function?

Through its unique interaction with the brain’s physical components, the supplementation of magnesium has been shown to increase the brains plasticity. This in turn improves its ability to make the physical changes that facilitate the retention of new information, the ability to solve problems, and the capacity to retrieve memory [2].

As a result, this amazing supplement has been shown to improve both memory and learning capabilities in people suffering from dementia [3], suggesting some serious capabilities as a cognition booster.

Can Magnesium L-Threonate Help Depression and Anxiety?

Finally, there is also evidence to suggest that Magnesium L-Threonate even has the ability to help improve mental health disorders such as depression and anxiety. Through its potent action on neurotransmitter regulation, this amazing supplement appears to reduce sensations of stress and anxiety, while simultaneously reducing depressive symptoms [4, 5].

As a result, it appears to compliment more traditional mental health treatments in a very effective and efficient manner.

If this causes nausea and upset stomach then how do I relieve these symptoms if taking this product and what is the safest dosage for a woman between the ages of 40 to 50 years old? I don’t want to take 2,000 mg’s if it causes these kinds of side effects because I already have bad stomach problems as it is with Acid Reflux Disease, I think that is what they are calling it. So what do I do about the acid in from this product? Also, I have nausea a lot already because of one of the medications that I often take in the daytime. So what do I do about the nausea and how bad is it with a dosage of 2,000 mg’s/day? What do you suggest for these 2 side effects. This supplement sounds like a great idea because I have somewhat very bad RLS (Restless Leg Syndrome) and it would help to reduce the RLS especially at bedtime. I just need to know what to do. Can you help or maybe give any suggestions? I would greatly appreciate it.

Thank you.
Martha.
